It happened around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, in Deer Park.

A 25-year-old man was operating a 2022 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Deer Park Avenue when his vehicle collided with a northbound 2017 Jeep Wrangler, making a left turn onto Long Island Avenue, Suffolk County Police said.

The motorcyclist, a resident of Deer Park, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. 

The driver of the Jeep, a 45-year-old West Babylon resident, was not injured.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
